Michael Cingari

Project Management Learning & Development Leader Instructional Design

An education professional with a strong technology and software background, I'm ready to be part of and help lead teams of dedicated professionals working toward ambitious goals within any industry. A natural self-starter motivated by interesting, complex, and worthwhile challenges, I take on a learner's mindset and lead from the front. Take a look at my work below, or reach out and let's start the conversation.

I design learning experiences that meet people where they are — whether that's a live classroom, a virtual session, or a self-paced course someone completes on their own time.

My path here started outside a traditional instructional design track: I partnered with public school districts to bring supplemental STEAM, PE, and enrichment curriculum into their schools, owning everything from needs assessment through delivery and evaluation. That process — understanding what a partner actually needs, translating it into clear learning objectives, designing to fit real constraints, and measuring whether it worked — is the same discipline I bring to instructional design today, just applied to a new subject matter.

I build using ADDIE and adult learning theory as my foundation, write objectives aligned to Bloom's Taxonomy and UDL principles, and design across all three major modalities — instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and eLearning — so I can match the format to the need rather than defaulting to one tool.

AI is part of how I work, not a gimmick layered on top — I use tools like Articulate Rise for authoring, ElevenLabs for narration, and MidJourney for visuals to build polished, production-quality courses efficiently. My "Fair Housing Basics" course in this portfolio walks through that full process, start to finish.

I'm currently focused on bringing this approach to organizations that need training built with rigor, empathy for the learner, and an eye toward what modern tools make possible.
